About ABA Therapy

  • Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an approach that uses behavioral and scientific principles, which have been demonstrated to be effective at changing behaviors.

What makes BSI unique

  • Experience

BSI has provided quality services to residents of northwest Indiana for over 19 years.

  • Flexibility

BSI offers modified ABA services (usually under 20 hours per week) to the child with autism. A modified, rather than intensive, schedule permits the child to participate in other therapies, such as speech and occupational therapies, and allows him/her to spend time in a therapeutic social environment (developmental preschool and/or play groups for children under 5).

  • Individualized program

BSI develops a program that is tailored to meet the needs of each child we serve. We do not apply one technique to all children. Rather, we use a variety of techniques for each child based upon the child’s response to interventions.

  • Fun

Therapists strive to make the learning environment stimulating and fun, so the child will want to return and will be excited about learning.

  • Supervision

All therapists and tutors receive weekly supervision from a Board Certified Behavior Analyst-Doctoral (BCBA-D), who ensures that programs are being implemented with integrity and efficiency.

Funding

  • Methods used to fund ABA services are insurance and private pay.
