Music Therapists

Amanda Greer, MT-BC

Amanda received her Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy from Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois. She completed her internship at Lakemary Center, Inc. in Paola, Kansas, where she provided services to children and adolescents with psychiatric disorders and developmental disabilities. Amanda became a Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) and joined BSI in 2011. She also has experience working with geriatric adults in a retirement community setting.

Noel Newport, MT-BC

Noel received his Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy from Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois. He completed his internship at Behavior Specialists of Indiana in 2008, where he worked with children and adults with developmental disabilities. Noel became a Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) and joined BSI in 2009.

Joanna Ashdown, MT-BC

Joanna received her Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She completed her internship at Fairfax County Public Schools in Virginia where she provided services to middle school students with developmental disabilities. Joanna became a Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) and joined BSI in 2009.

Pat Poopityastaporn, MM, MT-BC

Pat received her Master's degree in Music Therapy from Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois. She completed her internship at Fulton State Hospital in Fulton, Missouri, where she worked with clients with mental health issues and developmental disabilities. Pat became a Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) and joined BSI in 2008.
